2Cr13 Stainless Steel Introduction
Chinese 2Cr13 steel (20Cr13) is a martensitic stainless steel with magnetic properties, good corrosion resistance and high hardness in the quenched state. 2Cr13 stainless steel is used in a wide range of applications, such as cutting tools, surgical tools, and steam turbine blades, material density is 7.75g/cm3, 2Cr13 is an old representation, the new representation is 20Cr13.
Steel grade designation of 20Cr13 = 2Cr13 stainless steel
- 20 (or 2) – Average carbon content: 20/10,000 (0.2%), old designation is 2/1,000
- Cr – Chromium symbol
- 13 – Average content of chromium: 13%
